Supporting Your Faith AND Your Healing
I wholeheartedly believe that true healing happens when we address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. That is why I am passionate about integrating the timeless wisdom of Scripture with the latest insights from neuropsychology to help you experience transformation that is both spiritually grounded and scientifically informed.
Why Christian Counseling?
Life brings struggles—anxiety, trauma, depression, relational conflict, grief, and questions of purpose. For many, these struggles can leave faith shaken or create a disconnect between spiritual beliefs and daily life. Christian counseling offers a safe place to explore these challenges while staying anchored in biblical truth and guided by professional therapeutic practices.

The Intensive Model Approach
Why is an intensive approach to therapy worth considering?Â
Sometimes, healing requires more than a single 50-minute session. Trauma doesn’t move on a schedule, and neither should your therapy. Stableminded Intensives create restorative space—whether through EMDR, equine-assisted therapy, or both—to process deeply without the pressure of time.
These focused sessions allow you to step away from the daily demands of life and give your mind, body, and spirit the gift of intentional healing.
Each Intensive is customized to your needs, however, typical formats may look like:
- 2-hour session every two weeks
- 3-hour session once a month, supported by a 1-hour session check-in
- Half-Day, 4 hours with a break built in
- Full-Day, 7 hours with lunch built in
- Multi-Day

For God alone, OÂ my soul, wait in silence,
    for my hope is from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation,
    my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation and my glory;
    my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people;
    pour out your heart before him;
    God is a refuge for us.

Want to know the backstory?
They say that those in the mental health field often enter it because of what they've gone through. Yes, that describes me, emerging from a legacy of abuse and dysfunction to be an active participant in writing a new legacy for my life and my family. Through the support of great mentors, coaches, therapists, my husband, dear friends, my faith in God, and my time with horses, I've been able to experience breakthroughs in every season of my life. Yes, it takes a village! And yet, I do not come to you as a finished work!
There are so many areas of my life in which I am actively committing to grow through what I'm going through. We're all works in progress!
My entry into the helping field began first as a mentor to teenage girls, both as a youth leader and in my time living at the boarding school my husband worked at for 18 years. That role inspired the decision to become trained as a life coach through Life Breakthrough Academy, which was later followed by becoming a Highlands Ability Battery Consultant.
For more than a decade, I helped women experience transformation through providing biblically-based coaching, training, and curriculum, including numerous books, through my ministry, More to Be. In 2018, I embarked on a dream to integrate horses into my work and became certified with the Natural Lifemanship Institute. In turn, that inspired the decision to pursue a Master's in Clinical Counseling with a Trauma Concentration and simultaneously train in EMDR.
In 2024, with a degree in hand, I began the journey of pursuing professional licensure, while continuing to develop Stableminded into a multifaceted counseling, coaching, and consulting practice.
I consider it a privilege to be a trauma-informed counselor, coach, consultant, and educator, passionate about helping others determine their best next steps toward stabilizing and thriving personally and professionally.
When I'm not at the stables loving on Kodiak Jack, my 2010 Off-the-Track Thoroughbred I rescued in July of 2022, I can be found savoring time with my husband of 29 years, all-grown-up children, two son-in-laws, a beloved grandson, and being entertained by my "wild-child" of a Golden Retriever.
