Specializing in Attachment and Faith-Based EMDR & Equine-Assisted Therapy
Why Pausing Life to Focus on Healing is Worth Your Time
Sometimes, healing requires more than a single 50-minute session. Trauma recovery and complex healing don’t move on a schedule, and neither should your therapy.
Stableminded Therapy Intensives create restorative space—supported by EMDR and/or equine-assisted therapy—to process deeply without the pressure of time.
If you're ready to accelerate your breakthrough and transformation now, then an Intensive may be your best next step so that you can stabilize and thrive in your personal and professional life today!
Who is this for?
- Clients with complex trauma.
- Clients traveling from a distance.
- Clients seeking EMDR therapy or equine-assisted therapy AND also want to continue to work with their current therapist.
- Clients needing a therapeutic reset or breakthrough.
- Established therapy clients who would benefit from supplemental intensive work.
Creating space for trauma work without the boundaries of time will allow you the space to process the unfinished stories, uncover your authentic self, clarify steps to stabilize in the present, and find renewed hope that you can thrive in the future.
Put the Hurry on Hold to Heal
Yes, sometimes the deepest healing work happens when the hurry of life is put on hold. Then your nervous system can find rest, and your ability to process the past can be safely explored without risk of further overwhelm.
Stableminded Therapy Intensives are especially designed for those ready to invest in the pause in order to move intentionally toward restoration.
Through a focused, well-planned Intensive, you can step away from the daily demands of life and give your mind, body, and soul the gift of intentional healing.
Whether you choose a two-hour pause, a half-day, a full-day, or a multi-day intensive experience, every detail is designed to help your nervous system feel safe, supported, and free to process deeply.

Through this kind of unique therapy experience, you may experience these benefits:
- healing from trauma
- healing from relational wounds
- building emotional resilience
- experiencing a nervous system reset
- anxiety reduction techniques
- steps to reduce your fear response
- discovering what your brain and body does when stuck in a fear or trauma state
- Identify your symptoms that reveal your window of tolerance
- expanding frustration tolerance capabilities
Although most people believe that trauma needs to be a big life event, anything that causes you to experience fear of harm can result in a traumatic experience and hinder the way you see yourself, others, God (if faith is part of your life), and your place in this world. For example, all these events can be categorized as trauma:
- intrauterine and birth trauma
- abuse and neglect
- domestic violence
- grief and loss
- car accident
- flooding and fires
- natural disaster
- divorce
- family separation
- combat
- detainment/deportation
- incarceration/imprisonment
- homelessness
- poverty
- community violence and civil unrest
- sudden changes in relationships
- sudden and unexpected moves
Equine-assisted therapy provides a unique way to explore healing and growth because horses are willing to engage in connection and also resist it if they don't feel safe. They are created with a brain and body response system that works for their survival. As herd animals, they rely on their senses and one another for protection and also the provision of needs. By entering into an experience with a horse, we can explore what we bring into a relationship as well as what we can get out of it. As a result, we learn about ourselves and the needs of others in a fresh new way.
You don't need any horse experience at all. Actually, the less you know about horses, the more remarkable your experience can be because you'll show up teachable and without any preconceived notions about what to do. This is all unmounted work. If you would like riding lessons, we can put you in touch with a fabulous instructor at the farm.
You'll want to wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting muddy.
Intensives are best for growth-minded clients who are dedicated to moving through the deep waters of healing to experience freedom from past wounds and hurts. It is helpful to have laid the groundwork in advance to prepare for the therapeutic experience by identifying targeted areas to focus on for healing.
Intensives are not designed to help with active addiction, severe depression, or suicidal/self-harming behaviors.
Additionally, if pursuing EMDR therapy, it is important to consider current life circumstances and assess for necessary personal and environmental supports in the healing process.
