Tack Box Treasures

Every equestrian has a few of her favorite things tucked away in her tack box! Here are my favorites:
Grooming Supplies
- Epona Tiger's Tounge Horse Groomer Scrubber Massager* excellent for horses sensitive to grooming tools and touch
- Absorbine Santa Fe Coat Conditioner & Sunscreen*
Horse Treats
- Timothy Pellets for positive reinforcement training; a bag lasts one year.
Horse Supplements
I combined these three supplements with vegetable oil and a smidge of molasses in a monthly batch, which is dispensed in a 1/2 cup portion at AM feedings.
- Farnam Equi Aid Natural Horse Psyllium Pellets Supplement for Horses* for fecal water syndrome
- AniMed Vita-Calm Horse Care* magnesium supplement for calming support
- Redmond Daily Red Rock Crushed Garlic* for hydration and fly/tick repellent
I soak one serving of the beet pulp in a container in my tack trunk and distribute the following day (or two days later) after a session with my horse.
- Beet Pulp* for gastric ulcer support, be sure to soak in warm water until pellets are soft and drain off excess water

Finding a trainer who recognizes the science and art of connection-based horsemanship is not always easy.
