In this 2-hour workshop, open to mental health care graduate-level students and professionals, you’ll capture calm as you reset your nervous system through an experiential equine-assisted group learning session.

Please note that this event is designed for adults in the mental health field. However, you may bring your teenage child if he/she is motivated to attend and will be a willing participant.

Lisa Pulliam

Founder of & Equine-Assisted Coach/Educator

Elisa Pulliam, the founder of, is passionate about helping youth, adults, and groups arise, stabilize, and thrive by growing emotionally resilient and relationally strong. By providing coaching and development programs, with the support of assessments and equine-assisted learning opportunities, Lisa's goal is to equip her clients with practical skills to navigate through anxiety, fear, insecurity, hurt, shame, mental blocks, leadership challenges, and relational conflict as she simplifies the brain-body-relationship connection that shapes mindset and habits.

Lisa is a certified Natural Lifemanship Trauma-Informed Equine-Assisted Specialist and Coach, Life Breakthrough Coach, Highlands Ability Battery Consultant, and is pursuing an MA in Clinical Counseling with a trauma concentration at Eastern University.

When she’s not serving clients, you can find her balancing her time at the stables enjoying her barn family and beloved OTTB rescue, Kodiak Jack, and home savoring the time with her husband of 26 years, nearly all-grown-up children, and being entertained by her beloved Golden Retrievers, Beckley and Toby.

What to Expect

Everything you want to know about this event!

We will provide a brief introduction to how equine-assisted coaching and learning aids in reducing anxiety, depression, stress, the healing from trauma, developing confidence, and improving relationship skills. You will also learn grounding techniques beneficial for calming your nervous system. 

Not at all. We welcome individuals at any experience level.

This workshop is designed for therapists, and as such, we will use language that is typically understood by those in the field. However, if you have a friend or family member that you would like to bring, they are more than welcome to join you. Please have each person complete the registration form and necessary releases.

This workshop is designed for adults, however, if you have a teenager who is an eager participant, you may bring them. Please be sure to complete the registration form and necessary releases.

It tends to be windy and colder at the stable, so please dress in layers. Also, please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dusty and dirty.


A $10 donation is appreciated to underwrite the cost of this event. Proceeds will go to the Stableminded Scholarship Fund.
